Data deletion
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This page explains how to ask us to delete data, what we delete and how long it takes. Requests are handled by a person: write to us at the address below.
If you have a Wizeply account
How to ask
- Email us from the email address of your Wizeply account.
- Write "Delete my data" in the subject line.
- Say whether you want the whole account deleted, or only certain data (for example, a Facebook Page you connected).
If you cannot write from the account's address, tell us, and we will ask you to confirm the request another way before we act.
What we delete
- your account and sign-in details;
- your business settings and automations;
- the WhatsApp Business Account and Facebook Page connections, including the access tokens Meta issued;
- the data we processed for you about your customers: contacts, messages, consent and opt-out records, and leads;
- your conversations with the setup assistant, and the service records tied to your account.
When a business deletes its account, we delete all its data, including consent and opt-out records.
If you delete only part of your data, we delete that part and keep the rest running. Deleting the whole account stops your automations.
Timeline
- We confirm your request by email promptly.
- We complete the deletion promptly, and tell you when it is done.
- Copies in our service providers' backups and system logs are removed on their own schedules, except what the law requires us to keep, and except copies held by our service providers under their own policies — including our AI provider, which may keep content flagged in its safety review for longer.
- We keep only records the law requires us to keep, such as accounting records, and only for as long as required.
What we cannot delete
- Data that Meta holds under its own terms, such as your messages in WhatsApp and leads in Meta's systems. Manage those with Meta.
- Messages already delivered to your customers' phones.
You can also remove Wizeply's access yourself in your Meta business settings, or ask us to disconnect your WhatsApp Business Account or Facebook Page. That stops new data reaching us; it does not delete what we already hold, so email us as well.
If you are a customer of a business that uses Wizeply
For example, you messaged a business on WhatsApp or filled in its lead form. That business decides how your data is used, and Wizeply processes it on the business's behalf.
- The quickest route is to ask the business directly.
- You can also email us with the business's name and your phone number. We will pass your request on to the business promptly and help it act on it.
- To stop messages right away, reply "STOP" to the business on WhatsApp, or block it in WhatsApp.
- When a person asks us to delete their data while the business's account is active, we keep only a minimal record that this number asked not to receive messages, so it isn't contacted again.
